How to play

The rules of the game are essentially the same as those for two-player Scrabble, with some differences, such as the arrangement of the premium squares and the distribution and dot values of certain letters (see Scrabble Letter Distribution and Dot Values). Players are given seven randomly selected letter tiles, which are replenished until all 104 tiles have been used. Players take turns forming words on the board, or playing words instead, and also have the option to swap blocks with or through their currently unused block pool. Players can arrange words vertically or horizontally on the board. The player's goal is to score as many points as possible. A letter placed on a DL or TL square is worth twice or three times the value of that letter on all words formed using that square. Likewise, DW and TW squares use that square to double and triple the value of the new word. If a player uses all seven blocks in a single play (called bingo in Scrabble), 35 bonus points are added - this is in contrast to the 50 bonus points in Scrabble. Different arrangements of premium squares may lead to scoring situations that are rare or impossible in a typical Scrabble game. For example, it is possible to place new words that cover both three letter score (TL) and three letter score (TW), or new words that cover both double word score (DW) and triple word score (TW)), which is impossible or almost impossible in Scrabble. The game ends when the player has played every tile on his or her shelf and has no tiles left to draw. The game also ends if three consecutive uncounted moves (i.e., passes or tile changes) are made, unless the score is zero-zero. [8] After playing the last tile, the opposing player will lose all points equal to the number of tiles remaining. The points will be awarded to the player who played the last card. At the end of the game, the player with the highest score wins. There are different versions of Words with Friends. All versions allow the player to resign using the "Resign" function, discard a turn with the "Pass" function, swap out one or more tiles and forfeit the current turn with the "Swap" function, or find the remaining tiles. or find the remaining tiles. The "Corrugated Paper Bag" function. The "Word Strength" feature can be turned on or off and allows players to see how strong their placed words are relative to all other word combinations on the current board. In 2016, Zynga (temporarily) removed a feature called "hindsight" that gave players the opportunity to see the highest scoring moves on the board after they were made, but has since brought it back. In addition to the "hindsight" power-up, the game also offers other power-up features called "swap+,"
