Apparently, Google has done an excellent job to improve the YouTube app. It’s not easy to roll so many things on a small screen especially videos, but Google accomplished something wonderful, just as well as its search engines. Thumbnails for videos are well-designed and rightly placed. Hidden Slider Menu: On the interface of new YouTube app, you will find a menu icon in the upper left corner. You can slide it to the right to see your menu. Fast and Smooth: The new YouTube app brings a smooth transition from page to page. You can tap your fingers to feel every movement. Better Sharing Options: Now you can share anything on YouTube with your friends and family on Google+, Twitter, Facebook, or via text and email. Better Search Functions: The improved search function of YouTube helps you find the videos you’re looking for in a much faster way. The automated suggestions will pop up in the search result. The longest video on YouTube created by Jonathan Harchick is 571 hours, 1 minute, and 41 seconds. Gangnam Style is the most watched and liked video. It is said that it broke their views counter which had to be programmed again. YouTube was founded by Chad Hurley, Steven Chen, and Jawed Karim. They registered the domain name in February 2005 and officially launched the site in December of that year. In October 2006, Google bought YouTube for $1.65 billion in stocks - just 18 months after YouTube’s creation. Karim received $66 million in Google stock, Chen received $310 million, and Hurley received $334 million.
