How to play
2ndLine uses your device's existing Internet connection to send texts and phone numbers from the USA and Canada. The person you want to contact does not have to be a 2ndLine customer to receive your texts and calls, and can also send you texts or calls. When you first sign up for 2ndLine, you will be asked to enter a U.S. or Canadian area code, and then you will be asked to select a number from a pool of numbers available in that area code. Please note that 2ndLine only has phone numbers available in the United States and Canada. If you do not have a phone number available in your area code at the time of registration, we will ask you to select a phone number from the area code nearest you. Texting and calling is free in the U.S. and Canada. Outside the US and Canada, you can purchase international calling rates to make calls to other countries and regions. 2ndLine supports group messaging - you can add multiple people to a text message from the 2ndLine app, and contacts can add you to a group message from their carrier. Unlike other operators, we don't require you to call a special number to access your voicemail - instead, your voicemail is displayed like any other text on the "Conversations" page. Click Play on the voicemail to play it. You can use your 2ndLine number to route calls to another number in the US or Canada, so that when people call your 2ndLine number, it will transfer the call to ring on another phone. The other phone does not have to have the 2ndLine application installed.
