Instagram, commonly abbreviated as insta in the early days and ins in mainland China, is a free online photo and video sharing community application from Facebook, released in October 2010. Since its release, it has become popular with celebrities, fashion bloggers, and internet users. The app allows users to take photos and then add different filters to them, with a wealth of convenient and beautifying features. One of the distinctive features of Instagram is that the photos are taken in a square shape, whereas most device cameras use a square shape. In June 2013, Instagram added the ability to share short videos, allowing users to record and share clips of up to 15 seconds in length. How to play
In order to use Instagram, you first have to create an account.
Click Sign up, enter your email address and create an account and password, or click Sign in with Facebook to sign up with your Facebook account. If registering with an email address, click Sign up. If registering with Facebook, you will be prompted to sign in to your account if you are logged out of your Facebook account.
Once you have registered your account, you can start looking for friends. This can be done either from your address book or by looking up your Facebook friends directly. You can also find celebrities, bloggers, etc. that you are interested in via the search bar, follow them and you will be the first to receive their updates and interact with them. In addition to viewing other people's feeds, you can also post your own feeds so that your friends who follow you can also see what you are sharing. Tap Shoot and you can choose different filters to take a satisfying photo and share the photo or video to your Instagram, or associated social accounts such as Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and Flickr.
