Description

Many apps can provide driving directions - but what if you don't drive at all? That's where Transit comes in. The Trip Planner app shows you how to get from point A to point B via train, bus, ride share, and now even bike share and scooters. The app will find your best route, offer some alternative options, and let you know the estimated time of transportation.

"Giving you the best way to get to your destination" - The New York Times

"You won't realize how much time you can save until you use this app" - Los Angeles Times

"Killer app"-WSJ

" The MBTA loves the transit app - it's called "Transit". -Boston Globe

Studio City is your real-time city travel companion. Navigate the city's public transportation system with accurate real-time forecasts, easy trip planning, step-by-step navigation, service disruption notifications and departure and parking alerts, all presented in a clear, bold interface. Public transportation not cooperating? It's easy to request a ride from Uber, Lyft or VIA, or grab the nearest bike share.

How to play

1) Watch your transportation vehicles approach on the map in real time

2) Use real-time data to compare options to powerful A-to-B travel plans

3) Launch GO for step-by-step navigation on unfamiliar routes or when you want to take a nap/read/leave

4) Receive departure alerts and stop notifications as well as prompts to speed up GO.

5) Get push notifications if service interruptions will affect your commute.

6) Plan trips, view transit schedules and get route itineraries-even if you're offline!

7) Find bike-sharing stations, check the number of bikes available, pay for passes and unlock bikes (in some cities).

8) Check estimated arrival times (and prices) for nearby Uber, Lyft and VIA rides, and book in two taps.

9) Easily plan and pay for trips that combine Uber, Lyft or VIA with mass transit. We call it Transit +

*Continuing to run GPS in the background can significantly shorten battery life.
