How to play
The game is similar to other tower defence games in that the player has to place a series of plants with attacking or defensive functions to stop the constant arrival of zombies entering the huts and eating the brains of the occupants. There are five scenarios: daytime lawn, nighttime lawn, daytime pool, foggy pool and rooftop. The lawn and pool are divided into day and night and foggy or not. The day lawn, night lawn and rooftop are divided into five tracks, while the day pool and mist pool have six tracks. Usually zombies appear randomly on one of the tracks and follow a straight line. And normal plants can only attack or defend against zombies on one track. At the end of each track there are also one-time attack devices such as lawn mowers that remove all zombies on that track.
The game starts with an adventure mode only, played in five separate scenarios of 10 levels each. Adventure mode is the proper mode of using plants to stop the zombies from entering the room, and in each level, the zombies launch several major attacks. Players play through a total of 50 levels to unlock all 40 green card plants. The mini-game mode is then unlocked. The mini-game mode is a number of classic mini-games with plant and zombie elements attached to them, including the famous puzzle games Bejeweled and Weird Aquarium, also developed by Baokai, with different mini-games for different platform versions; two are plant-zombie games (ZomBotany, ZomBotany 2), where the zombie heads are replaced with offensive and defensive plants.
